Privacy Policy — Pinterest Integration
Last updated: 25 June 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Divitio (“we”, “us”) handles information when you connect your Pinterest account to our content scheduling application (the “App”) and use it to publish content to Pinterest. By authorizing the App, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information we access
When you connect your Pinterest account, we access the following through the official Pinterest API, strictly to provide the App's functionality:
- An OAuth 2.0 access token and refresh token issued by Pinterest after you authorize the App.
- Basic account information (such as your username and account type).
- The list of boards you own, so that Pins can be published to the correct board.
- Content you provide to be published (image, title, description, and destination link).
We never ask for, collect, or store your Pinterest password or session cookies. Authentication is performed exclusively through Pinterest's OAuth 2.0 flow.
2. How we use this information
We use the information above for one purpose only: to create and schedule Pins on the boards that you own and have authorized. We do not use Pinterest data for advertising targeting outside of Pinterest, and we do not combine it with data from other people's accounts or other services.
3. Data storage and retention
- We do not store information retrieved through the Pinterest API. We call the API each time the information is needed to complete a publishing request.
- OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored securely and used solely to maintain your authorized connection. Tokens are deleted when you disconnect the App or on request.
4. Sharing of information
We do not sell, rent, or share information obtained from the Pinterest API with any third party. Information from your account is used only to provide services to you.
5. Third-party services
The App integrates with the Pinterest API. Your use of Pinterest is also governed by Pinterest's own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
6. Revoking access
You can revoke the App's access at any time from your Pinterest account settings (Settings → Apps and Permissions / Connected apps). Once revoked, the App can no longer access your account, and any stored tokens are invalidated.
7. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect access tokens and prevent unauthorized access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we limit retained data to the minimum required for the App to function.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
9. Contact
